Deleting your account
Preparation, confirmation and the consequences of irreversible deletion.
Where to find it
Sign in to your account first
In this guide
Find deletion under Dashboard → Settings → Profile → Delete account. It disables the public profile and listings, ends active sessions and prevents further sign-in. If you only need a temporary break, consider pausing your listings first so you can retain the account and return later.
Pause or delete
| Pause a listing | Suitable for a break from public activity. The account, settings and access to personal tools remain; return through listing management. |
|---|---|
| Delete the account | Suitable when you are ready to give up access permanently. The confirmed action is irreversible in the user interface; you cannot sign in again or restore that account yourself. |
What to check beforehand
- Save your own information that you need before deletion. The form has no universal export-all button; ask Support about available export beforehand, explaining what you need without sharing a password.
- Review Stories, conversations, active paid tools and wallet history. Do not assume deletion automatically issues a refund, stops an external payment or transfers funds to another account. Discuss unresolved financial issues with Support first.
- Have the current password ready. With Google Authenticator enabled, you also need a current or recovery code. PIN alone does not replace the password in the deletion form; recover a forgotten password first.
The deletion process
Open the action in Profile
In Settings choose Profile, scroll to Delete account and press the button. On a phone, use the dashboard menu to reach Settings. Read the first screen, which explains pausing and the consequences of deletion.
Continue to final confirmation
If you have decided to proceed, press Continue deletion. Enter your current password, the required second factor and DELETE exactly as shown. Acknowledge that the action is irreversible and ends all sessions.
Confirm the final action
Check that this is the intended account, then press Delete permanently. Wait for the server response. Successful deletion signs you out; a confirmation error means you should correct the indicated details rather than repeatedly submit the request.
Example: you only need a break
You are away and do not want new enquiries about a listing. Pause the listing and adjust calls and notifications while retaining the account. When you return, check contacts and resume publication. This task does not require permanently giving up conversations and settings.
What happens to data
The action removes listings from public access, revokes PIN trust and sessions, and clears core account contact details and second-factor data. Do not interpret this as a promise to immediately erase every conversation, Story, payment or operational record. Applicable retention, anonymization and legal-request rules are defined in the Privacy Policy. Use Support or Contact for a specific data request; the legal policy takes precedence over this short guide.
Common questions
The button is unavailable or a code is rejected
Check the password, exact DELETE confirmation, acknowledgement and second factor. If security status did not load, wait or restore the connection. Use a fresh TOTP code or unused recovery code for a new confirmation.
I changed my mind before submitting
Choose Keep account on the first screen or close the dialog before the final submission. For a break, use listing pause or privacy preferences.
I deleted the account by mistake
The interface offers no self-service restoration for a deleted account. You can describe the problem through Contact, but this guide does not promise restoration or data recovery. A new account does not automatically inherit the old balance, conversations or listings.
