Trust and safety: using the protective tools
What status indicators mean, how to limit contact and where to report a problem.
Where to find it
In this guide
FayVay provides tools to inspect information, control communication and report violations. Verification, moderation and reporting serve different purposes. A badge or paid plan does not confirm everything a person says and cannot guarantee a safe meeting. Use the available information together with your privacy settings. If an interaction raises concerns, pause the conversation and choose an appropriate protective action.
Before communicating
- Open the full listing rather than relying only on its result card. Compare the photos, description, location and available verification information. The absence of reports, reviews or a badge does not establish safety or prove a violation.
- Sign in to your own account to manage messages and blocks. Decide whether you want calls and visible presence before starting. Keep the profile link available if you need to report specific content.
Choose an action for the situation
Inspect the available information
Read the complete listing. Verification information refers to a particular check, while reviews reflect published opinions. Do not treat decorative Premium or Gold badges as identity confirmation or assume that one completed check validates every contact detail or claim.
Limit unwanted communication
Use the blocking action available in the conversation. Check calls and presence in Settings → Privacy and review the list under Blocked. Blocking controls communication with an account; it does not replace a report about published content.
Submit a specific report
Choose Report on the relevant object or use the public report form. Provide the link, a suitable reason and observable facts. Keep the reference returned after submission. For questions about your own account or an existing decision, use Support or Contact us.
What each tool does
| Verification | Shows the result of a specific check. Submitting a request is not approval and does not establish a person’s intentions. |
|---|---|
| Moderation and reports | Allow specific content or behavior to be reviewed. A report is submitted for consideration; sending it does not automatically remove the target. |
| Blocking and privacy | Control communication channels and presence information. Check that your settings were saved; hiding presence does not hide the entire public listing. |
Example: a contact demands an advance transfer
A listing displays a badge, but the contact pressures you to transfer money and send an identity document. Stop sharing data, retain the relevant link and describe that behavior in your report. Block the contact if needed. Never send your password or confirmation codes to someone claiming to work for the site.
What to expect next
When will my report be reviewed?
This guide does not promise a review deadline. Keep the reference and relevant facts, then ask Support if clarification is needed. Avoid repeated duplicate submissions and do not publish someone else’s personal information to draw attention.
Can I request help without signing in?
The public Report and Contact us forms are available outside the dashboard. Personal conversations, your ticket history and blocking settings require sign-in. If you have lost access, start with the account recovery instructions.
