FAYVAY PHOTO GUIDELINES
Photos are an important part of a FayVay profile. They should help users obtain an accurate impression of the person represented by a listing while complying with applicable safety, privacy, and legal requirements.
By uploading a photograph to FayVay, the user confirms that they have the right to use it and that its publication does not violate the rights of another person.
These Guidelines apply to:
profile photographs;
listing photographs;
galleries;
cover images;
stories;
uploaded images;
images used for verification;
other visual material published through FayVay.
1. Adults Only
Only photographs of adults are permitted on FayVay.
Every person depicted must have been at least 18 years old both when the image was created and when it is published.
The following are strictly prohibited:
images of minors in a sexual or erotic context;
images where age cannot reasonably be determined and there are grounds to believe that the person may be a minor;
presenting a minor as an adult;
sexually explicit or sexualized AI-generated images of minors;
any material that sexualizes children or adolescents.
Where there is uncertainty regarding age, FayVay may hide the image and require additional verification.
2. Users Must Have the Right to Use the Photograph
Users may upload only photographs that:
belong to them;
were created with appropriate consent;
are used with permission from the rights holder;
may lawfully be published with the consent of all identifiable persons depicted.
Users may not upload:
stolen photographs;
photographs taken from another person's social media account;
photographs of models, celebrities, or other persons without permission;
images found online and represented as the user's own photographs;
copyrighted material that the user is not authorized to publish.
The fact that an image is publicly available on the internet does not automatically grant permission to use it on FayVay.
3. Photographs Must Correspond to the Profile
Photographs must accurately represent the person on whose behalf the listing is published.
Users must not:
impersonate another person;
use another person's photographs to attract attention;
create a knowingly false impression regarding the identity of the profile owner;
modify images so extensively that they no longer reasonably represent the person's actual appearance.
Ordinary editing is generally permitted, including:
brightness correction;
contrast correction;
color adjustment;
cropping;
minor retouching.
Editing must not be used to deliberately mislead other users.
4. Main Profile Photograph
The primary profile image should allow users to reasonably understand who the profile represents.
Users are encouraged to:
upload a clear image;
use a reasonably recent photograph;
select an image in which the person is clearly visible;
avoid excessive text, borders, or graphic elements.
The primary photograph should not consist solely of:
a logo;
text;
contact details;
an advertising banner;
a QR code;
an image unrelated to the person represented by the profile.
Separate rules may apply to permitted agency or commercial accounts.
5. Nudity and Adult Content
FayVay is an adults-only Platform, and certain adult-oriented content may be permitted where it:
depicts adults only;
was created and published voluntarily;
belongs to the user or is used with lawful authorization;
complies with applicable law;
does not involve exploitation or coercion;
complies with these Guidelines.
Permitted content may include:
erotic imagery;
partial or full nudity involving adults;
explicit-looking adult photographs where publication is permitted by applicable law and Platform rules.
FayVay may restrict the visibility of adult content, apply blurring, display 18+ warnings, or use additional access and visibility controls.
6. Prohibited Sexual Content
Even where all persons involved are adults, images are prohibited where they contain:
actual sexual activity where publication is prohibited by Platform rules or applicable law;
sexual violence;
coercion;
human trafficking;
exploitation;
images of a person published without consent;
covert intimate recordings;
revenge pornography;
sexual images published without the subject's consent;
content involving minors;
sexual abuse of animals;
other unlawful sexual material.
FayVay may remove such content immediately and without prior notice.
7. Consent of Every Person Depicted
Where more than one person appears in a photograph, the user must have lawful authority and any necessary consent from every identifiable person depicted.
This is particularly important for:
intimate images;
photographs of couples;
group photographs;
professionally created photographs;
images in which a third party can be identified.
Where sufficient consent cannot be established, FayVay may remove the image.
8. Deepfakes, Face Swaps, and AI-Generated Content
Artificial intelligence and similar technologies must not be used to create misleading images of real people.
In particular, the following are prohibited:
sexual deepfakes of real persons created or published without consent;
face swaps involving persons who have not consented;
using the face of a celebrity or another person to create a false profile;
AI-generated images represented as genuine photographs of the profile owner.
Where FayVay permits fully synthetic or AI-generated images in specific areas, such material must be clearly identified as artificially generated and must not mislead users.
9. Covertly Obtained Images
Users may not publish:
photographs secretly taken in an intimate setting;
images of a person who reasonably expected privacy;
material obtained through hacking;
photographs stolen from private accounts;
content obtained without consent in a manner that violates privacy or applicable law.
10. Personal Information Visible in Images
Users are encouraged to avoid exposing unnecessary personal information in photographs.
Images should generally avoid displaying:
passports;
identity documents;
payment cards;
confidential documents;
home addresses;
vehicle registration details where disclosure is not intended;
tickets containing personal information;
documents containing QR codes;
other confidential information.
Documents submitted for verification should be uploaded only through the designated secure verification process and must not be published in a public profile.
11. Contact Details and Advertising
Where FayVay provides dedicated fields for contact information, photographs should not be used to circumvent those mechanisms.
FayVay may prohibit or restrict images containing:
prominently displayed telephone numbers;
email addresses;
third-party website URLs;
usernames for external platforms;
QR codes;
advertising banners;
promotional codes;
links to competing services;
watermarks from other listing platforms.
A small ownership watermark may be permitted where it does not interfere with viewing the image and is not used to circumvent Platform rules.
12. Watermarks From Other Platforms
Photographs containing prominent logos, URLs, or watermarks from other listing websites may be rejected.
This helps FayVay:
reduce the use of stolen content;
prevent users from being misled;
maintain a consistent Platform experience;
prevent the Platform from being used solely to redirect traffic elsewhere.
13. Image Quality
Photographs should be of sufficient quality for normal viewing.
Images may be rejected where they are:
excessively blurred;
corrupted;
extremely low resolution;
substantially covered by text;
dominated by borders or graphic elements;
intentionally obscured;
impossible to understand because of poor quality.
14. Duplicate Images
Users should avoid repeatedly uploading the same photograph.
FayVay may:
remove exact duplicates;
consolidate repeated content;
restrict mass publication of identical images;
use automated duplicate detection to prevent spam and fake profiles.
15. Other Prohibited Visual Content
Images must also not contain:
graphic real-world violence;
torture;
terrorist propaganda;
material promoting unlawful extremist activity;
unlawful weapons offered for sale;
illegal drug trafficking;
material infringing third-party rights;
threats;
doxxing;
images intended to facilitate fraud;
malicious QR codes or links.
16. Agency and Representative Accounts
Where a profile is managed by an agency or authorized representative, that representative must have the right to use the photographs of every person depicted.
FayVay may request evidence of:
age;
identity;
consent to publication;
authorization to use the image;
the representative's authority.
Failure to provide adequate evidence may result in removal of the photographs or profile.
17. Photo Review and Moderation
FayVay may use automated and human systems to review images.
Review may include:
detection of minors or age-related risk;
duplicate-image detection;
prohibited-content detection;
fraud signals;
identification of images previously associated with violations;
user reports;
human moderation.
Automated systems may make mistakes.
Where appropriate, a decision may be reviewed through the procedures provided by the Platform.
18. Proof of the Right to Use an Image
Where there are reasonable doubts about the origin or ownership of an image, FayVay may temporarily hide it and request additional evidence.
Evidence may include:
a verification selfie;
identity verification;
the original photograph;
proof of authorship;
evidence of consent from the person depicted.
Failure to provide sufficient evidence may result in removal of the image.
19. Reporting Photographs
Any person may report a photograph if they believe that it:
was published without their consent;
infringes copyright;
depicts a minor;
contains prohibited material;
is being used for impersonation;
violates privacy;
is connected with human trafficking or exploitation.
Reports may be submitted through FayVay's reporting system.
The Platform may temporarily restrict access to disputed content while it is reviewed.
20. Non-Consensual Intimate Images
FayVay maintains a zero-tolerance approach to non-consensual intimate imagery.
Where a person reports that an intimate image has been published without consent, FayVay may:
immediately restrict access to the image;
remove the material;
suspend or terminate the responsible account;
retain information necessary for an investigation;
take measures intended to prevent repeated uploads;
cooperate with competent authorities where required or permitted by law.
21. Copyright
Users retain ownership of photographs that belong to them.
By uploading an image, the user grants FayVay the limited rights necessary to technically operate the Platform, including:
hosting;
storage;
processing;
resizing;
creating thumbnails;
displaying the image in a profile;
displaying the image in search results;
technical optimization.
Uploading an image does not transfer ownership of that image to FayVay.
22. Photo Removal
Users may remove photographs they control through the available content-management features.
FayVay may also remove a photograph where it:
violates these Guidelines;
violates applicable law;
infringes another person's rights;
fails required verification;
is associated with a suspended or terminated account;
creates a safety risk.
Removal from FayVay does not guarantee immediate removal of previously indexed copies from independent search engines or internet archives.
23. Consequences of Violations
Depending on the nature and severity of a violation, FayVay may:
reject the photograph;
hide it;
remove it;
restrict the profile;
require additional verification;
restrict further uploads;
temporarily suspend the account;
terminate the account;
take other measures reasonably necessary to protect users and the Platform.
Serious violations involving minors, trafficking, exploitation, sexual violence, or unlawful content may result in immediate action.
24. User Responsibility
Users are responsible for all photographs they upload to FayVay.
By uploading an image, the user represents that:
every person depicted is an adult;
publication is voluntary;
the user possesses the required rights;
all necessary consents have been obtained;
the image does not infringe third-party rights;
publication complies with applicable law;
the image is not used for fraud or impersonation;
the content complies with these Guidelines.
25. Changes to These Guidelines
FayVay may update these Photo Guidelines in response to:
changes to Platform functionality;
new forms of abuse;
developments in technology;
safety requirements;
changes in applicable law.
The current version of these Guidelines will be made available on FayVay.
