    Verifying and changing your email

Email links, resending messages and securely binding a new address.

    Where to find it

    1. Settings
    2. Security → Email and login

Sign in to your account first

    In this guide

Verification shows that you can access the specified mailbox. It uses a link in an email; the verification page has no field for a local code. Verifying an address concerns the account and does not mean that the person, listing or every photo has passed other checks.

    What you need

    • Sign in to the intended account and open the mailbox attached to it. Check the address in Profile settings because similar addresses can belong to different people.
    • If you used Quick registration and have no email, first bind one in the Security tab. Keep your saved login and password available until the change is complete.

    Verify an existing address

    1. Open email verification

Open the email verification page, or find the email action under Dashboard → Verification. Check that the displayed address is yours. The dashboard can be available before verification; email status is separate from listing publication status.

    2. Follow the emailed link

Find the FayVay message and follow its link. For ordinary verification, stay signed in to the same account. If the email opens in another browser, sign in to the intended account there and open the link again.

    3. Check the server result

The page confirms successful verification, and settings show the address as verified. If the screen still has old information, refresh it after the redirect completes. Clicking a link without receiving a successful result does not verify the address.

    Verification and binding

    Verification and binding
An existing emailThe verification page confirms the account’s existing address and can resend its message. It does not edit the address.
A new emailSecurity first creates a pending binding. Only confirmation through the link changes the address and login.

    Bind or correct an address

Open Settings → Security → Email and login. Enter the new email, your current password and an Authenticator or recovery code if two-factor protection is enabled. After a recent PIN sign-in, the form supports its indicated confirmation without the current password. Press Send confirmation and follow the link in the new mailbox. The previous login remains valid until confirmation. Once binding succeeds, the new email becomes your login; update your password-manager entry.

    Example: fixing a typo

You notice a typo after registration. Instead of waiting for mail in the wrong mailbox, sign in with your saved credentials, bind the correct address through Security and confirm the link in the new mailbox. Then check the login in Settings and update your saved entry.

If the email or link does not work

    The email is missing

Check Spam, mailbox filters and the address spelling. On the verification page press Resend verification email. Wait for its result because repeated rapid requests can be limited. If the problem persists, give Support a partially masked address and the error text.

The link expired or is invalid

Request another verification email for an existing address. For a newly bound address, use Send confirmation again in Security. Use the most recent message and check the website’s result; reopening an old link does not extend its validity.

    The address is incorrect

Use secure email binding in Settings. Editing your name or avatar does not change the address. If you cannot access the account, use recovery rather than sending requests to someone else’s mailbox.

    Keep verification links private

Do not forward the message, link, password or recovery code to a contact. If you did not request an address change, do not confirm it: open FayVay directly and review your sessions and account security. Email verification does not guarantee that future interactions are safe.
