Report a disputed photograph or copyright concern
Identify the material, prepare relevant information and choose a reporting channel.
Where to find it
In this guide
If you believe material is used without the necessary rights, start with DMCA / Copyright Notice and the Copyright Policy. This guide helps locate the form and identify the material. It does not replace the legal documents, determine rights ownership or promise removal merely because a report was submitted.
Prepare specific information
- Keep the exact FayVay page URL and describe the disputed image or other material. If the page contains several photos, identify the relevant one without requiring guesswork.
- Prepare information about the original work and its source where available. Explain your connection to the issue without asserting rights you cannot substantiate. Check the current DMCA page for notice requirements.
- Distinguish rights concerns from privacy concerns. Exposure of personal data or an image without consent may call for the relevant privacy report reason; appearing in a photograph does not automatically establish authorship.
Choose a channel and submit
Read the current documents
Open DMCA / Copyright Notice and Copyright Policy. Use the published instructions for substantive notice requirements and contact methods. Avoid copying a random template whose statements do not fit your situation.
Open Report from the material
For a supported listing, use its report action. The form offers Copyright and Stolen photos reasons; choose according to the concern and provide any required subreason. Identify the material and known source. A person’s name does not replace an exact URL.
Use Contact for an unsupported URL
The general report form recognizes limited local profile paths. If it rejects the address, do not invent another link: send the original URL, description and an accessible contact through Contact or your support ticket. The public Contact form has no attachment field.
Retain available confirmation
If a report reference appears, keep it with the original URL. Continue a dashboard support conversation until it closes. Form success means receipt of information, not a legal ruling, guaranteed notice to another party or automatic removal.
What helps identify the material
| Exact page and description | Connect the report to specific content. A homepage-only link or “all photos” may not provide sufficient context. |
|---|---|
| Source and connection to the concern | Explain what is disputed. Matching images alone do not determine rights ownership or permission to use them. |
| Minimal personal information | Provide information needed by the published procedure. Passwords, login codes and unrelated documents do not help identify a work. |
Example: a disputed image in a listing gallery
Suppose a gallery contains an image you recognize. Provide the listing URL, identify the image and add the original source if known. Explain the basis of your concern. If ownership or permission is unknown to you, say so rather than making an unsupported legal assertion.
Avoid further distribution
Do not repost disputed imagery to attract attention. An exact link and description are generally more useful. When attaching relevant evidence to your own ticket, remove unrelated personal data and use an accepted file format. A support attachment is not a public distribution method.
After a notice
Will the material be removed immediately?
This guide promises neither a decision nor a deadline. Read the current legal page for the substantive process. Form receipt does not establish that the claimant is correct or another user violated rights.
Where can I send a response or clarification?
Follow the process on DMCA and use the available support channel with the earlier reference and specific changes. An ordinary message does not automatically become a formal counter-notice; the published process defines substantive requirements.
Is a Fake profile report enough?
If the issue concerns rights, state that clearly and read DMCA. Identity concerns, copyright and privacy require different context. Selecting a more alarming reason does not replace identifying the material accurately.
